How we collect our pine nuts

Our Siberian pine nuts are completely organic and harvested in the wild taiga forests of the Altai region of Russia.  As a result our customers can enjoy our pine nuts safe in the knowledge that they are sourced from wild trees that have not been grafted.  Sourcing our pine nuts in this way ensures that they are 100% natural and pure. Indeed, sourcing them any other way would undermine the nutritional value of this renown Super Food.

Pine nuts may completely replace any product, but there is no single product that can replace pine nuts.

The balanced protein of pine nuts is so close to the protein compounds of human tissue that 99% of this protein is capable of being assimilated by the body. Pine nuts may completely replace any product, but there is no single product that can replace pine nuts.

Every autumn local people from Altai villages organise expeditions to the taiga forests to collect wholesome and fresh pine nuts. We collect pine cones that have fallen to the ground by themselves, which ensures a harvest of only ripened cones. We also take the entire cone out of the forest. Nuts in their cones can be kept for up to three years without any loss of quality.

As you can see below, our pine nuts are sun dried after being removed from the pine cone but crucially prior to being shelled. After the nuts have been shelled, they are immediately vacuum-packed, which protects the pine nuts from the oxidising effect of the surrounding air.
